Concert Caravan 20th Anniversary
20 years have passed since that summer
The Concert Caravan was a project in which Seiji Ozawa and Rostropovich brought live music to various parts of Iwate and nurtured the next generation.
In Miyako City, we have continued to nurture these seeds through small concerts and learning sessions held in various places in the community.
In 2025, after a touring mini-concert in August (Miyako City, Tanohata Village, Iwaizumi Town, Yamada Town, and Otsuchi Town) and a "Summer Academy" to nurture the next generation, a commemorative performance, "Concert Caravan 20th Anniversary," will be held in February.
This special concert will bring together five musicians who have traveled around the country with Ozawa and are currently active at the forefront of the music scene.
Please come to the venue and enjoy the sound of the strings resonating with the band's 20 years of history.
