Miyazawa Kenji Ihatov Museum Special Exhibition: "Kenji's Literature Read Around the World – The Spread of Reception as Seen Through Translations"
This exhibition was planned with the idea of re-examining when and how Miyazawa Kenji's works spread across the seas, how many translations have been published to date, and how they are being received around the world, in the year of the 5th International Research Conference held here in Hanamaki, where people from all over the world will gather. Starting with an examination of the starting point of translations of Kenji's literature, we trace the path of its spread to the world through translation, and examine the translation situation by focusing on languages in which translations are numerous and the languages of countries of translators closely associated with this academic society.
