Toneyama Mitsuto Memorial Museum of Art Special Exhibition "Ryuji Kanazawa: A Challenger Beneath the Ground" ~ November 29
The Toneyama Kōjin Memorial Museum of Art in Tachibana, Kitakami City, is currently hosting a special exhibition featuring the works of artist Ryuji Kanazawa, who creates a dystopian worldview through a unique composition that mixes realistic depictions with fictional and imaginative expressions.
Among the works displayed in the museum, there are some depicting the hunters of Iwaizumi.
Ms. Kanazawa is from Iwaizumi. She currently lives in Tsuchiura City, Ibaraki Prefecture, but she had long dreamed of holding a solo exhibition in her hometown of Iwate.
Each painting includes a short comment from the artist. These comments are included in the catalog booklet available at the reception desk, so please take a look.

| Access | From Kitakami-Ezuri Interchange, head east for 15 minutes. Cross the Coral Bridge and turn right at the convenience store. It's located along Prefectural Road 14, near Tenshochi Pokemon Park. |
| Price | Admission is 300 yen for adults, 120 yen for high school students, and 60 yen for elementary and junior high school students. However, admission is free for elementary and junior high school students from Kitakami City, Oshu City, Kanegasaki Town, and Nishiwaga Town. A combined ticket for all three museums in the city, including the Oni Museum, allows one visit to each of them, and costs 700 yen for adults, 300 yen for high school students, and 200 yen for elementary and junior high school students. *Group discounts available for groups of 20 or more. *Admission is free for individuals with a physical disability certificate, intellectual disability certificate, or mental health and welfare certificate (showing the app is also acceptable), and one accompanying person. |
