St. John Passion (2nd draft) Concert

This work, which marks exactly 300 years since its premiere by Bach , will be performed in Morioka by the Morioka Bach Cantata Verein, a choir that was invited to the Bach Festival held in Germany last year and received rave reviews there, along with young soloists and an instrumental ensemble .

– Conductor Masatoshi Sasaki is Professor Emeritus of Iwate University and President of the Japanese Society of Vocal Physiology. He is a recipient of the 47th Iwate Nippo Culture Award (Cultures Division).
-Many young soloists from across the country have studied in Morioka.
・Co-sponsored by the Sendai Sacred Music Choir .
– This version differs in some parts from the commonly heard St. John Passion, and is rarely performed.

Price Advance tickets: Adults 3,500 yen, Students (college students and under) 1,500 yen
