Asteroid explorer "Hayabusa2" return support event

From December 5th to 6th, 2nd year of Reiwa, the asteroid explorer "Hayabusa2", which has been conducting missions in outer space for 6 years since its launch in 2014, will return to Earth.

In Ofunato City, as a member of the "Galaxy Federation" consisting of seven cities and towns where the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) continues to interact with each other, we will hold an event to support the return of "Hayabusa2" as follows. ..

◆ Public Viewing & Galactic Federation Zoom Broadcast

Date and time: Saturday, December 5th, from 13:30 to 15:00

Venue: Ofunato City Disaster Prevention Tourism Exchange Center (Ofunaport) Multipurpose Room

Contents:
● Screening of a web program distributed by JAXA * The state of the control room at the moment when the capsule is separated will be broadcast.

● Zoom broadcast connecting the JAXA Institute of Space and Astronautical Science Sagamihara Campus and the venues of each city and town in the Galactic Federation

Capacity: 40 people (advance application required)
