August 2nd: The 6th Genki Mori Mori Festival
Learn about, experience, and enjoy forestry!
The 6th Genki Forest Festival, an event to promote forests and forestry for children and students, will be held as follows.
Date and Time: Sunday, August 2, 2026, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM Location: Iwate Prefectural Forest, Oyamada Engineering Hachimantai Forest (1-515-5 Matsuo Yoriki, Hachimantai City, Iwate Prefecture)
Admission fee: Free
On the day of the event, we have prepared various activities to help you get to know trees and learn about work in the mountains, including demonstrations of high-performance forestry machinery such as harvesters, hands-on experiences (chainsaw cutting, saw cutting, chainsaw pruning, etc.), and exhibits by forestry machinery manufacturers.
(This event will be held using the "Iwate Prefectural Forest Development Tax.")
