Morioka City Ancestors Memorial Museum's 71st Special Exhibition "Suzuki Hikojiro, the Nurturer of Iwate Culture"

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of his death in 2025, we will introduce Suzuki Hikojiro, a writer with ties to Morioka. Hikojiro worked hard to improve education and culture in his hometown, serving as editorial advisor to the Shin Iwate Nippo (now the Iwate Nippo) and chairman of the Iwate Prefectural Board of Education. He was also involved in the founding of Morioka culture, which remains to this day, such as the founding of "Northern Literature" and "Machi Morioka," and the holding of the Morioka Writers' Theatre. Please take this opportunity to check it out.
