MACHIYART2026 Eninaru Morioka

This is the 8th time this event has been held. We are looking for paintings, prints, and photographs that represent Morioka.

This is an open call exhibition that creates a space for people to encounter works of art, and allows everyone to enjoy "art" and "Morioka."

We look forward to receiving many applications.

[Recruitment details]

Eligibility: Residents of Iwate Prefecture

Submissions: Paintings, prints, and photographs that represent Morioka.

Artwork dimensions: Each side must be between 12.7cm and 41cm, and the thickness must be no more than 10cm (including frame).

Number of points: Up to 2 points per person

Exhibition fee: Free

Submission period: From October 10th (Sat) to 16th (Fri), 2026, please submit your artwork directly to the Morioka Machiya Monogatari Museum.

Please bring it with you. (Reception hours: 9:00 – 18:30)

*You can also send your order prepaid by a specified date (must arrive within the application period).

Exhibition period: November 14 (Sat) – December 6 (Sun), 2026 *Closed on November 24 (Tue)

Location: Morioka Machiya Monogatari Museum, Main House, Library Storehouse 1st Floor, etc.
