Theme Exhibition for Fiscal Year 2025: "Passing on the History of Hanamaki City to the Next Generation – Efforts to Compile the History of Hanamaki City"
The Hanamaki City Museum is currently compiling the "Hanamaki City History," a comprehensive compilation of the history and culture of Hanamaki City.
More than 40 years have passed since the publication of the histories of the four former cities and towns: "Hanamaki City History," "Osako Town History," "Ishidoriya Town History," and "Towa Town History." Thanks to subsequent research and investigations, new historical facts are coming to light.
Therefore, we will be holding a themed exhibition on our current efforts to compile the city history from January 31st to April 12th, 2026, to introduce the findings revealed during the research process, along with materials from the museum's collection.

| Price | General admission: 350 yen (300 yen) / High school students and university students: 250 yen (200 yen) / Elementary and junior high school students: 150 yen (100 yen) * (Prices in parentheses are for groups of 20 or more.) *There are discounted combined tickets available for use at nearby theaters. *This is a combined ticket for the special exhibition and the permanent exhibition (you can view both the special exhibition and the permanent exhibition during the exhibition period). |
