Theme Exhibition for 2025: "Hanamaki City's History Connected to the Next Generation – Compiling the History of Hanamaki City"
The Hanamaki City Museum is currently compiling the "Hanamaki City History," a comprehensive summary of the city's history and culture.
More than 40 years have passed since the publication of the four former city and town histories: "Hanamaki City History," "Osako Town History," "Ishidoriya Town History," and "Towa Town History." With the progress of subsequent research and investigation, new historical facts have come to light.
Therefore, a thematic exhibition on the ongoing efforts to compile the city's history will be held from January 31 to April 12, 2026, and will introduce what has come to light during the research process, along with materials from the museum's collection.
