Sanriku AIR/AIR Koichiro Tamura "Hamagiku Dance -Dancing with Feelings and Heavy Feelings. Project"

With the theme "Dancing with Feelings and Heavy Feelings. Project," the group stayed in Miyako for two weeks, experiencing the local performing arts of the Sanriku region, a portable shrine procession, and learning about the earthquake and the city. Starting from the physical sensations they learned and the feelings they felt, they transformed them into ideas and performed a dance.
The name was inspired by the beautiful flower language of Miyako, the Hamadaisy, which means "to overcome adversity." Just like the flowers that bloom despite enduring the harsh coastal environment, we too will live strong and resilient lives. Connecting the thoughts of such people, we bring you a dance piece that has blossomed from Miyako.
