Exhibition of modern poetry and calligraphy related to Iwate

This is the fourth time the event has been held. We are looking for calligraphy works based on modern poetry and prose that has a connection to Iwate. We look forward to receiving many applications.
[Recruitment details]
Eligibility: Iwate Prefecture residents (18 years of age or older)
Calligraphy works based on modern poetry and prose related to Iwate
Dimensions: 24.2cm to 135cm, area up to 4,800cm²
*Colored paper, half-sized paper, half-cut paper, and half-sized paper are all within the specified size.
Number of points: Up to 2 points per person
Exhibit fee: Free
Application form: Please submit your work to Morioka Machiya Monogatarikan in person, by mail, email, or fax between January 5th (Mon) and 12th (Mon, national holiday), 2026. (Reception hours: 9:00-18:30)
Submission period: Please bring your work directly to Morioka Machiya Monogatarikan or ask a contractor to deliver it to you between January 26th (Mon) and February 1st (Sun), 2026. (Reception hours: 9:00-18:30) *The museum is closed on January 27th (Tue).
*You can also specify a delivery date (must arrive within the acceptance period) and send the item by prepayment.
Exhibition period: Saturday, February 14th, 2026 – Sunday, March 8th, 2026 *Closed on Tuesday, February 24th
Location: Morioka Machiya Monogatari Museum, Taisho-kura, 2nd floor "Time and Space Exhibition Room"
