Let's go on our own winter story! ~ Kayaba Snowshoe Tour ~

  2024/12/29~2025/2/28 Kitakami   20 Views

We will be holding a tour where you can leisurely explore winter forests and snowy fields on snowshoes!

The snowy field falls silent and still.

All you can hear is the faint sounds of birds chirping and nuts falling…

In this atmosphere, you will feel as if you have entered your own world, while observing animal footprints left in the snow and warming yourself with a hot drink. Enjoy the winter nature with all your senses.

*Kayaba: A rare place in Japan where the thatch (called pampas grass) used for thatched roofs is grown on a vast area of land.

*Snowshoes: Equipment for walking on snow without sinking

[Snowshoe tour recommendation points]

It feels good to take a walk in the crisp, clear winter air♪

Rent the thatched farm that supports Japanese culture exclusively!

You can enjoy the extraordinary scenery of bundles of thatch (Japanese pampas grass in this case) dotted across the snowy fields stretching into the distance.

We'll be visiting a field where there's no one else but us and the animals.

You might even come across animal footprints left in the snow or the cute expressions of fallen plants?!

As you walk through the forest, you will see animal footprints in the snow, including those of chamois and rabbits!

Even animals who usually live out of sight of humans can't hide their tracks during this time of year. (laughs)

It's fun to guess what they were doing!
