Exhibition of modern poetry and calligraphy related to Iwate

This is the third time we are holding this event. We are looking for calligraphy works based on modern poetry and prose that have a connection to Iwate. 2024 marks 100 years since the publication of Miyazawa Kenji's "Spring and Ashura" and "The Restaurant of Many Orders." To commemorate this, we will set up a special Kenji corner. We welcome ambitious works based on Kenji. We look forward to receiving many applications.

Eligibility: Iwate Prefecture residents (18 years of age or older)

Calligraphy works based on modern poetry and prose related to Iwate

Size: Shikishi (24.2 x 27.2 cm) – Hankiri (35 x 135 cm)

Number of points: Up to 2 points per person

Exhibit fee: Free

Application form: Submit to Morioka Machiya Monogatarikan between Saturday, December 21st and Friday, December 27th, 2024

Please submit the application in person, by mail, email, or fax. (Reception hours: 9:00-18:30)

*Closed on the 24th (Tuesday).

Works can be submitted between January 20th (Mon) and 26th (Sun) 2025 by bringing them directly to the Morioka Machiya Monogatarikan Museum or by entrusting them to a contractor.
