Ara Ebisu Writing Course Scriptwriting Course [10/23 application deadline]
Mr. Chikara Michimata, a screenwriter living in Morioka City who has written scripts for citizen plays in Ninohe, Oshu, and Miyako City, as well as the Morioka Bunshi Theater, will serve as a lecturer. Learn the structure of the play, such as how to put together the script and where to create the highlights, and write short scenes such as surprises, emotions, and fun. In the third lecture, we will review the submitted script and give advice.

Chikara Michimata
screenwriter. Born in Tono City, Iwate Prefecture in 1961. Graduated from the Film Department of Osaka University of Arts. In addition to writing screenplays for television, radio, theater, and comics, he is also the author and editor of Appare! Morioka Bunshi Geki” (Araezo), “Writers who loved the play” (Bungei Shunju), “Nomura Kodo/Araebisu” (Bungei Shunju), “Iwate’s Pure Literature” (Toyo Shoin), “Bungaku no Kuni Iwate” (Iwate Nipposha) "How to live as a writer" (Gendaishokan) and many others.
In 2018, he received the special prize of the 31st Local Publishing Cultural Achievement Award and the Iwate Prefecture Art Award in 2017. In 2020, he received the 2019 Iwate Life Culture Special Governor Award. Belongs to the Japan Mystery Writers Association, the Japan Screenwriters Association, and the Japan Broadcasting Writers Association. Living in Morioka City.
