Hanamaki City Museum Reiwa 3rd year joint exhibition "Tokan Tada-Tibet of Destiny, and Hanamaki-"
Tokan Tada is a well-known Tibetan scholar from Akita City. After having a master-student relationship with the 13th Dalai Lama and 10 years of training in the field, he brought a huge amount of materials on Tibetan Buddhism to Japan.
It is an idea that he has achieved a feat that can be called modern Xuanzang, but at a lecture in Akita, he said, "(Tibetan Buddhist research) must give up deeply that it is the fate given to me." ..
In this exhibition, we will introduce materials related to daily life in Hanamaki, including valuable items related to Tibetan Buddhism, which is said to be fate, and honor Tada's achievements.
