The Iwate Prefectural Agricultural Fureai Park Agricultural Science Museum is holding a special exhibition "Extensioners-Engineers who supported the growth of postwar agriculture and rural areas" .
After World War II, Japan was suffering from a serious food crisis. Therefore, in 1948, "agricultural improvement extension workers" and "life improvement extension workers" were born to increase food production and revitalize exhausted rural areas, and started activities.
At the special exhibition, we will introduce the history of dissemination activities and also display the tools actually used by the dissemination staff at that time, so please come visit us.
