The Iwate Prefectural Agricultural Fureai Park Agricultural Science Museum is holding a special exhibition "Extensioners-Engineers who supported the growth of postwar agriculture and rural areas" .

After World War II, Japan was suffering from a serious food crisis. Therefore, in 1948, "agricultural improvement extension workers" and "life improvement extension workers" were born to increase food production and revitalize exhausted rural areas, and started activities.
