Theme Exhibition for Fiscal Year 2026: "A Journey Through Museum Materials – Plant Design Exhibition"
After a long winter, spring has finally arrived in Hanamaki. With the arrival of spring, plants begin to sprout.
Cherry blossoms, sunflowers, autumn leaves… the Japanese people have felt the changing seasons through the plants around them. These plants have also been incorporated into artwork and everyday objects, adding color to daily life.
This exhibition focuses on the wishes and hopes of people embedded in various designs, such as artworks and tools featuring plant motifs, selected from the collection of the Hanamaki City Museum.
We hope you will enjoy the vibrant colors of these beautiful plants through our museum exhibits.
