Morioka City Predecessors Memorial Museum Collection Exhibition "Exhibition of the Belongings of Koichiro Tomita" and Morioka Merchant House Hina Dolls

In 2025, we will be exhibiting personal belongings and photographs from the museum's collection of educator Koichiro Tomita (1859-1945), who taught at what is now Iwate Prefectural Morioka Daiichi High School and was involved in the founding of Iwate Prefectural Morioka Commercial High School and Morioka Municipal High School, educating many young people. 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of his death.

In addition, we will be holding the "Morioka Merchant Dolls" exhibition, which will feature Hina dolls donated by long-established stores in the city. The Hina dolls will be on display until Sunday, April 19th.

*Due to a review of Morioka City's facility usage fees, admission fees will be revised from Wednesday, April 1, 2026. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Please visit our website for further details.
