As a related project to the Morioka Machiya Monogatarikan Haunted House in 2025

1. Scary stories you've experienced in Morioka 2. Illustrations of scary ghosts you'd like to meet in a townhouse

We are currently recruiting for ❶ and ❷.

Application period: Saturday, February 1st to Saturday, March 15th
The "Machiya Haunted House" began in 2014 and has become a regular summer event at Morioka Machiya Monogatarikan, beloved by many local residents!
In 2025, the "Machiya Haunted House" will be held again, along with a reading session of "scary stories" during the period!
We are looking for your "true scary stories" and "illustrations of scary ghosts you'd like to meet in a townhouse"!

❶ A scary story that happened in Morioka that you experienced [Eligibility to apply] Anyone of any age can apply. We are looking for true scary stories of 1,200 characters or less. Please apply on manuscript paper or in digital form.
・Submit one work as a set consisting of "text" and "application form"

❷ Illustration of a scary ghost you'd like to meet in a townhouse [Eligibility] Applicants must be between 5 and 18 years old. Illustration submission size: A4 (coloring and drawing method are free)
– If you are creating the work digitally, please attach it to an email in PDF format. – Submit one work ("illustration") + "application form" as one set.
