Announcement of the Reiwa 5th Hanamaki City Museum theme exhibition "Flower Expo Collection"/"Soujiro Saito Exhibition"
Hanamaki City Museum is a museum that focuses on archeology, history, arts and crafts, and currently has approximately 40,000 items in its collection.
At the Hanahaku Collection Exhibition, the curators will display attractive materials carefully selected from items that have been used in daily life and items that have been appreciated as crafts.
Comprised of five categories, including ceramics, Hanamaki's Sangajin, southern style kokeshi dolls, Hanamaki dolls/local dolls, and materials related to life in Satoyama, we explore the charms of Hanamaki's arts, crafts, and history.
At the “Saito Sojiro Exhibition'' held at the same time, we will be introducing the contents of the diary “History of Our Family'' from 1889, along with related materials, from the Saito Sojiro collection.
