2023/2/18~2023/2/19 Tono City Tono Public Service Center   1,199 Views

Tono City became known nationwide for Kunio Yanagida's "Tono Monogatari," but Tono City also has a story written by Kizen Sasaki, who was born in Tsuchibuchi-cho, Tono City, and who interacted with Kunio Yanagida. There are many old tales such as Kikumi Zoshi and oral folk tales by storytellers. "Citizen's Stage Tono Monogatari Fantasy" is a stage production based on this old tale and the history of Tono.
The 48th performance is based on the 193rd episode of Tono Monogatari Shui. Synopsis “Matsuba, a mischievous fox who lives in Taga Shrine. Senji sees through Matsuba, who tricks him. Is he tricking or is he tricking? Matsuba, who is obsessed with playing tricks on Senji, takes an unexpected turn in the story."
