Rikuzentakata City is one of the cities that was severely damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011.
In a situation where not only the hard side of town development but also the soft side is required to be further expanded, 2019 as one of the local governments that proposed excellent efforts to achieve the SDGs with the idea of "town development that does not require the word normalization". In July 2014, it was selected for the first time in Iwate Prefecture as the "SDGs Future City".

Rikuzentakata City started the "Rikuzentakata City SDGs Entrepreneur Support Program" in September 2020 to achieve the SDGs.
Since last year, we have held webins, individual consultations, site visits, etc. for entrepreneurs working on social issues, and while promoting matching between entrepreneurs inside and outside the city and businesses in the city, from business formation in Rikuzen Takada to implementation We are providing support for.

An online information session for program participants this year will be held on August 5th (Friday).
